Two weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over a Sha Tin 1200m. The start was slow, settling towards the rear but finishing with a strong run to secure second place, beaten by only half a length. Now stepping up in class and trying the straight course again, the horse will benefit from an eight-pound weight reduction. Despite having three previous wins over this distance, the competition looks even, requiring a hold-up strategy relying on a good finishing kick. Trainer and jockey are still aligned in their approach, with adequate pre-race preparation completed, but an unfavourable barrier draw presents a challenge. A cautious approach is advised initially.
