On December 15th, in a Conghua turf trial over 1000m, the horse tracked the leaders and finished strongly with remaining energy. Seven weeks ago, in a straight-course race, it performed poorly, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear with an even pace but no finishing kick. After a short break, a barrier trial yielded only a moderate performance. Switching to Sha Tin over 1200m this time, it’s a first attempt at this distance and will carry five additional pounds. The distance is expected to suit, and drawing an inside barrier offers potential for a strong showing.
