RAGING BLIZZARD

Three weeks ago, this horse recorded a dirt trial over 1200m running in sixth position throughout the sections. Two weeks ago, he also completed a dirt trial over 1200m, moving up steadily from three hundred meters out. Six weeks ago, over the same distance, he ran a respectable race despite a slow start and settling towards the rear, finishing second after making a good effort in the middle stages. He has shown slight improvement in two barrier trials. This time, no additional weight will be carried and the plan is to settle back in the field; however, his finishing kick may not match rivals’ strength, leaving the form looking questionable despite four wins from twelve starts at this distance. Despite comparable times with other horses in the group, drawing an inside barrier and good preparation are unlikely to guarantee a strong performance.
