Sixteen-on-one (March 16th), this horse showed good speed in a dirt trial over 1000m at Conghua, settling comfortably in second after jumping out quickly. Three weeks ago, it ran poorly over Sha Tin's 1400m turf, slow to jump and settling towards the rear but making up ground in the middle stages, finishing fifth beaten by one and a half lengths. A recent barrier trial showed acceptable performance. The horse has dropped 42 pounds in weight, is moving up in class, and will now race over Sha Tin's 1200m turf with a 9-pound weight reduction. Despite having previously won three races at this distance, the time difference compared to other horses in its group isn’t favorable, and even with an advantageous inside draw, opportunities appear limited.
