February 2nd, the horse showed promise in a Conghua turf trial over 1200m (sections: 5-5-3), making a late run with urging and improving on previous efforts. On February 16th, another Conghua turf trial over 1200m saw a moderate response despite a strong ride (sections: 6-5-7). Eight weeks ago, in a Sha Tin turf mile, the horse performed respectably but lacked an early jump and settled towards the rear before making headway in the middle stages with a steady pace. Following a short break, two barrier trials haven't revealed significant improvement. Dropping back to Class for its next start, it will now tackle Happy Valley over 1200m, carrying 14 extra pounds this time. While showing good times in comparison to rivals and drawing a favorable barrier, the horse has yet to win in four attempts at this distance. It typically races from behind but lacks a strong finishing kick, making its chances questionable. Best suited as a supporting option.
