Three weeks ago, this horse recorded a turf trial over 1000m in sections of 9-8-3, finishing third after making headway. Eight weeks prior, the horse underperformed over a Sha Tin 1200m turf race, slow to jump and settling towards the rear, showing some effort mid-race but fading towards the finish. Following a break, one barrier trial showed slight improvement. Moving up in class now, returning to Happy Valley over 1200m for its first run at this track, the horse will carry a 22lb weight reduction. The form is not ideal, though past performances at this distance are reasonable and the competition isn’t significantly stronger; drawing a favorable barrier suggests a hold-up tactic, with potential for a strong finishing kick but limited current winning chances.
