The pace was consistent throughout, with a gradual closing section but ultimately finishing within two and a half lengths of the winner. A subsequent run over a Happy Valley mile saw him try the distance for the first time, proving unsuitable as he again raced from behind and lacked the necessary finishing kick. Trainer-jockey combination wasn't ideal. Fortunately, this race benefits from a one-pound weight reduction, and the overall time remains acceptable; considered a potential place contender despite being lightly fancied."
