On February 27th, a turf trial over 1600m at Conghua saw the horse start slowly but take the lead on the turn and maintain it throughout. Seven weeks prior, in a Sha Tin 1600m race, performance was poor with a trailing pace and steady sections, showing only a slow finishing kick. A recent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Switching to a Happy Valley mile now for its debut over this distance presents unfavorable conditions. The horse lacked a strong final burst last time and the trainer-jockey combination isn't particularly harmonious. Despite a two-pound weight reduction, acceptable time figures and continued positive conditioning, it is not considered a leading contender in this race.
