On March 5th, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1050m in sections of 4-3-2, appearing relaxed and comfortable. Five weeks ago, it ran a respectable race over a Happy Valley sprint distance, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear with an even pace throughout. It made up ground in the final stages, finishing two and a half lengths behind the winner. A subsequent turf trial showed slight improvement. Another Happy Valley 1200m trial is scheduled; this will be its first attempt at this distance, which should suit it well, and its time remains acceptable. Drawing a favorable barrier suggests a hold-up strategy. It possesses the strongest finishing kick in its group and has been prepared seriously for this race, however, it will carry one pound more this time and the trainer-jockey combination hasn't demonstrated significant success to date, making it an intriguing longshot contender.
