WOLF COMING

March 19th, a dirt trial at Conghua over 1200m saw the horse take an active forward position, pushing hard for second place. Two months ago, in a Sha Tin turf mile, the performance was underwhelming; a slow start led to settling towards the rear, maintaining an even pace throughout with unremarkable progress. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Now resuming racing, switching to a dirt track over 1200m for its debut at this distance with a favorable barrier draw, the horse showcased a strong finishing kick compared to others in its group and is showing continued improvement. Despite needing to carry 16 pounds more this time, the distance may not be ideal and its trial times weren’t particularly outstanding, a chance remains.
