On April 10th (Conghua turf trial 1200m: 9-9-7), the horse ran with restrained pace and was not fully tested. On March 27th (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 7-10-7), it travelled smoothly along the rail, beaten a moderate distance. Seven weeks ago, in its last run over a Happy Valley 1200m, the performance was below expectations; slow to jump and settled towards the rear, maintaining an average pace throughout before finishing with some ground made up late. Two barrier trials have shown no noticeable improvement. Another trial over a Happy Valley sprint distance presents a slightly unfavourable scenario, and the trainer-jockey combination isn't particularly strong. However, it is expected to race from behind, possesses the strongest finishing kick in its group, and has previous form over this distance which suggests potential for an each-way chance."
