Three weeks ago, this horse delivered a strong performance over a Happy Valley mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear but running consistently. He made ground in the final stages to finish third, beaten by only half a length. Another trial over 1800m at Happy Valley is completed, carrying three pounds less this time. Having secured two wins over this distance previously with reasonable sectionals times, he has drawn well and will likely adopt a hold-up tactic relying on his finishing kick which is strong within the field. The horse is continuing to improve in condition; however, current form and trainer/jockey combination are not ideal, so expect it to be used as race preparation this time.
