RIDING TOGETHER

On April 2nd (Conghua dirt trial 1200m: 3-3-2), the horse showed a steady push on the straight and moved forward consistently. Four weeks ago, in a Sha Tin turf 1400m race, the performance was poor; it led early but weakened at the finish, resulting in a significant defeat. A barrier trial session showed slight improvement. Switching to Happy Valley mile this time, it's a first attempt at this distance and may not suit its running style with a slightly lacking finishing kick. The trainer-jockey combination isn’t particularly strong, however, it benefits from the ability to secure a forward position and recorded acceptable section times, suggesting potential for minor placing.
