Four weeks ago, this horse ran a disappointing race over 1200m at Happy Valley with a slow jump and settled towards the rear. He made progress in the middle stages, chasing along the straight for two sections at a steady pace throughout but showed an unremarkable performance. Now stepping up to a mile at Happy Valley again, he will carry one pound more this time. The unfavorable conditions combined with settling back in the field suggest his finishing kick might not be strong enough against the competition. Trainer and jockey combination is not ideal; however, he has four wins from twenty starts over this distance and drew a good barrier which may present an opportunity.
