9/4 (Dirt trial 1200m: 5-4-4) stayed in contention throughout but was eased by the rider in the final stages, maintaining only a steady tempo. 27/3 (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 3-2-2) tracked the leaders with a consistent performance. 16/3 (Conghua turf trial 800m: 6-6-5) settled in mid-field with a steady rhythm. 2/12 (Dirt trial 1200m: 3-4-2) traveled wide on the turn but remained composed. This horse ran a poor race in a straight course event last May, settling at the rear with a mediocre run and average tempo. Following four trials, there has been slight improvement. A recent 1200m turf trial was its first attempt at this distance; however, it faces a disadvantage this time with a 2lb weight increase and an unfavorable draw. The horse has yet to demonstrate a strong finishing kick, and the connection between trainer and jockey seems loose. That said, the distance should suit and its time figures are acceptable, so it may not be entirely out of contention.
