Three weeks ago, this horse performed respectably in a dirt 1200m trial; the gate jump was slow, allowing him to settle mid-pack with a steady pace, and he recovered significant ground in the final stages. Fortunately, the gap was small, finishing only two lengths behind. In his last run over a Happy Valley 1200m turf course, he receives one pound less this time. Having shown ability over this distance previously and with an acceptable time, drawing a good barrier, even if the situation is slightly unfavorable or his finishing kick isn't outstanding, and the jockey/trainer combination isn't ideal, he is not without a chance.
