MISSION GIANT
Horse analysis
Eleven days ago, this horse performed excellently over a Happy Valley 1800m. Though slow to jump out, he tracked the pace and maintained a steady rhythm, regaining some ground in the final stages. He finished with a commendable effort, beaten only two and a half lengths, showing high class. Switching to Sha Tin over 2000m for his debut in this distance, the trip seemed not to suit him; his timing indicators were weak and he was at a disadvantage in terms of position, having to track the pace. His finishing kick wasn't as strong as his rivals'. The connection between jockey and trainer isn't particularly cohesive, but the ideal draw and a two-pound weight allowance give him a slight chance.
