Horse analysis
8/5 (Happy Valley 1200m turf trial: ran in sections 7-5-2) showed acceleration in sections, saved ground to move forward. On 21/4 (Dirt trial 1200m: ran in sections 7-6-5), the horse was ridden on the bend but the run was only passable. On 9/4 (Dirt trial 1200m: ran in sections 3-5-5), the horse extended early but could not accelerate much on the straight. On 24/3 (Turf trial 1000m: ran in sections 3-8-3), it quickened after the 200m mark, accelerating in the third section. On 14/3 (Happy Valley 1000m trial: ran in sections 8-8-8), it jumped out slowly with an immature run. On 24/2 (Turf trial 800m: ran in sections 5-4-6), it was urged on after the 200m mark, showing some tendency to drift inwards. This Irish PP has a predicted rating of 44 based on MA288. In six overseas starts, it has won two races and competes in mid-field positions, but its run is not particularly strong. Having completed six trials, it has shown slight improvement and shows willingness to chase, but its ability remains limited. As this is its first outing in this race, it should be monitored as a possibility if the form improves.
