11/5 (Sha Tin turf trial 1000m: followed closely, maintained pace under urging) 30/1 (Sha Tin turf trial 1200m: light encouragement, poor response) 16/1 (Sha Tin turf trial 1200m: urged several times down the straights, but held his ground) 22/12 (Dirt trial 1200m: urged on straight, minimal changes in pace) 2/12 (Dirt trial 1050m: ungraceful rounding of the bend, slowed on the straight) 18/11 (Turf trial 1000m: slowed in the final stages, lacking impetus) This is his debut start as a new horse; he began training in late September last year after arriving in Hong Kong. He has taken six trials but has not kept pace with the development. His footwork is low, and his stride turnover is slow; no acceleration has been observed, suggesting he should suit 1400m or further. As this is his first race out, it’s best to watch him in a preliminary run.
