Three weeks ago in this same race, the horse performed excellently. Although its start was slow and it settled towards the rear throughout the run with an average pace, it managed to regain some ground in the closing stages to place second. Fortunately, the margin was small, beaten by only one length. Stepping up in class this time, its closing burst was slightly less potent, and while it managed to push forward at crucial moments and has shown ability in this trip, strong expectations should be tempered.
