On 19/5 (dirt trial 1200m: 2-2-1), the horse travelled well, accelerating to win. This is a last ran winner; seven weeks ago he performed excellently over a Happy Valley mile, maintaining his position throughout to take the win. He has shown improvement in training trials recently. Switching to Sha Tin over 1200m for the first time, he must carry five pounds more this race. The distance is not ideal for him, and his time figure is weaker; the draw is also poor. His late burst of speed was slightly lacking, but his ability to maintain a good position tracking the leaders and his positive appearance in recent workouts mean he can contend for a place.
