On May 26th, in a turf barrier trial over 1600m (running positions: 1-2-1-1), the horse demonstrated a sustained run with good acceleration on the straight, improving as the race progressed. Six weeks ago in a similar race, he was very disappointing; he jumped slowly and settled towards the rear, accelerating in the middle stages before chasing strongly over the final two sections on the straight. His pace was consistent throughout, and his overall run was unremarkable. This recent trial shows improvement. Current circumstances are unfavorable, with the jockey and trainer coordination not ideal; however, if he utilizes a stalking style, his closing speed in the final stages against rivals in the same group is strong. With three wins from twenty-eight starts, some lack of performance is not surprising.
