He was slow to leave the starting stalls, maintained a steady pace trailing in the pack, and managed to recover a fair amount of ground in the final stages. Fortunately, he was not overly extended and finished beaten only half a length. In his most recent run over 1400m on Sha Tin turf, he is carrying seven pounds more weight this time, which puts him at a disadvantage. If he adopts a trailing running style again, his late kick may not match the competition's, and the jockey/trainer combination isn't optimal. Given his past performance and ideal draw, he is not the choice for this race.
