Two weeks ago, the horse performed reasonably well in a Happy Valley 1200m race. He was slow to get going from the gates, settled back, maintained a steady pace, and managed to recover some ground in the final stages. Switching to Sha Tin over 1400m, this was his debut on the course, and the distance seems unsuitable; the conditions were disadvantageous with a poor draw. He tracked along in the rear, and his finishing kick might not match that of his rivals. The bond between jockey and trainer isn't particularly strong either, so he's not a contender for this race.
