2/6 (Dirt Trial 1050m: 7-6-1) started with crowding and a slightly slow break, but accelerated strongly to win. Six weeks ago on Sha Tin turf over 1400m, the performance was very poor; he could run freely but faded in the final stages, suffering a heavy defeat. A subsequent trial showed improvement. In this race on dirt over 1200m, he gets a five-pound allowance. He has proven himself on this course with reasonable times and can run close to the pace; his finishing kick is second to none in this group. The jockey has a good understanding of the horse's temperament, and pre-race preparation is thorough. He should be considered a contender for placing this time.
