Fourteen days ago, this horse performed reasonably well in the same race. He was slow to break from the stalls and settled further back, maintaining an average pace throughout. Towards the end, he managed to regain some lost ground, finishing only two and a half lengths behind despite carrying weight. This time he has a three-pound allowance, having won twice over this trip previously. His group is competitive, and the jockey has a good understanding of the horse. Morning gallop work remains satisfactory; even if the circumstances aren't ideal or his finishing kick isn't standout, he can be considered a decent contender.
