TURIN WARRIOR

On 12/6, in a Sha Tin turf trial over 1000m (running order: 10-9-6), the horse was hampered upon jumping, but accelerated under urging to catch up. Five weeks ago in a similar race, the horse performed well; though slow out of the gate and running in the rear, it responded in the middle stages and chased for two full lengths on the straight, finishing second. A recent trial showed no improvement. The conditions are not strongly favorable, and the horse's finishing kick appears somewhat lacking; while connections have not shown standout synergy, its record of four wins in 35 starts and favorable draws means it should not be overlooked.
