On 13/6, he ran a dirt trial over 1200m (8-6-3) and was ungraceful coming out of the stalls, slipping on the bend. In his third section, he was driven strongly but didn't perform well. On 5/14 (dirt trial over 1200m: 7-9-8), he stayed wide throughout, not testing his finishing kick while tracking the pace. Two months ago in a similar race, he performed reasonably well; though not quick out of the gates, he settled back and maintained a steady pace, gradually recovering lost ground in the final stages. Fortunately, he wasn't far behind, losing only half a length. Having completed two barrier trials, there has been slight improvement. With three wins in eight starts, his time figures remain adequate. Based on ratings, he is considered the strongest contender for this race, and the jockey has a good understanding of the horse. Training is active, giving him a strong chance to win.
