Four weeks ago, he ran a lackluster race over 1200m on Happy Valley turf; he was allowed to run freely but faded in the final stages, resulting in a heavy defeat. After a recent trial, he showed slight improvement. Another short-distance Happy Valley turf trial yielded an acceptable time, and drawing a good barrier position allows him to compete near the front. The jockey pairing is suitable for this horse, and his recent form has been decent. Despite going three races without a win and having slightly weaker finishing power, he is not out of contention.
