ENDURANCE EXPRESS

Trained convincingly in a dirt trial over 1200m on 16/6 (dirt trial 1200m: 2-3-2), showing a striking presence along the way. Four weeks ago, this horse performed exceptionally well over 1200m on Sha Tin turf, showing plenty of acceleration and a decent closing run to finish as runner-up, beaten only by half a length. A subsequent trial showed slight improvement. Switching to Happy Valley turf over 1200m, this is its first attempt at this trip; the time in the field was acceptable, and it clearly holds an advantage with a good draw. The early speed is sufficient to contend for position, and its closing kick is arguably the strongest in the field. Based on assessment ratings, it is considered one of the strongest contenders for this race. Preparations before the race have been thorough, but it must carry an extra 13 pounds this time, the distance may not suit, and the jockey-trainer combination has not yet shown exceptional synergy; nevertheless, it remains a main contender for victory.
