On 12/6, in a Sha Tin turf barrier trial over 1200m (runners positioned 1-1-4), the horse ran wide on the outside and returned to the rail in the straight. Five weeks ago, in a similar race, his performance was disappointing; while he could get going in the early stages, his finishing burst weakened significantly, leading to a heavy defeat. He has since run a trial which met expectations. His time indicator was weak, and his finishing kick is not prominent; the jockey-trainer combination wasn't ideal. However, given his ability to make early moves and his two wins in this trip previously, setting high expectations might be premature.
