Six weeks ago, the horse ran poorly over 1400m on Sha Tin turf, tracking near the front but fading in the final stages to finish badly. In a subsequent 1200m dirt trial, circumstances were disadvantageous as he had to race from the rear; his finishing kick was inferior to the opposition, and the jockey-trainer pairing did not appear particularly in sync. However, favorable draw and reasonable timing were beneficial, suggesting no major concerns.
