Six weeks ago, he performed excellently in a similar race, running strongly and steadily throughout, gradually closing in in the final stages to finish as runner-up. He was beaten only half a length, which is fortunate given the weight carried. The trial run showed he did not exert himself fully. Due to time differences in this group, the form does not quite match, and the draw is disadvantageous. The jockey-trainer combination is not ideal; however, his finishing kick was the sharpest in this group while running strongly on the backstretch. He has a record here and could be worth backing as an outsider.
