INVINCIBLE STEED

August 30th (Turf Barrier Trial 1000m: 6-7-7), tracked the leaders comfortably. This is an early run this season; two months ago, he performed respectably over 1200m on Sha Tin turf. He did not leave the barrier quickly, settled mid-pack throughout, and managed to regain some ground in the closing stages. Fortunately, he was not too far behind, finishing three and a half lengths off the winner. The trial showed no improvement in his form. In an all-out sprint, his time was the best among his group. If he utilizes a stalking-pack running style, his closing speed is strong within the field. Based on ratings, he is among the strongest contenders for this race. The jockey has a slight understanding of the horse's temperament, and the trainer-jockey combination is cooperating. However, he will carry an extra pound this time, and the conditions do not seem favorable; his draw is also less than ideal, but he remains a key contender.
