This is an early run this season; two months prior, in a race with the same runner-up performance, he showed outstanding ability and was placed second, beaten only half a length. The recent trial was mediocre. Despite this, his past form is good and the sectional times are respectable; the conditions seem favorable, with sufficient early speed to contend for position. The jockey has a good command of the horse's temperament, and the jockey-trainer combination is decent. However, note that he has to carry two pounds extra this time and his finishing kick is slightly lacking, so caution is advised.
