August 24th (Sha Tin turf trial over 1000m: 4-6-8) showed a weakening pace in the final 300m, which was quite disappointing. On June 26th (Sha Tin turf trial over 1000m: 1-2-2), the horse tracked the leaders but lacked real momentum. On June 12th (Sha Tin turf trial over 1200m: 5-8-9), he nudged slightly but showed no real improvement. Returning after a long break for his first run this season, he ran poorly in a prior Sha Tin 1200m on April turf, fading towards the end and suffering a heavy defeat. After three trials, there has been slight improvement. Switching to shorter Happy Valley turf races and running this trip for the first time, the distance seems unsuitable. In his current group, he is disadvantaged by the pace. If he continues to track the leaders, his closing speed may not match the opposition. The connection between jockey and trainer is not particularly cohesive. However, with an ideal draw and continued good morning work, he warrants attention.
