AMAZING KID

September 28th, a 1000m turf trial at Conghua (running position: 8-7-9), showed a steady but unconvincing performance. Returning after a layoff, this is his first outing of the season; in April, he ran in an identical race and performed poorly, slow to leave the gate, saving ground towards the rear with a consistent pace and flat running style. Fortunately, he was not too far behind, finishing beaten by three lengths. A recent trial did not show any significant improvement. The current setup is not advantageous, and the draw is poor; his finishing kick has yet to show real strength. Given his form with four wins in fifteen starts, and timing figures that remain acceptable, he could contend for a placing.
