Shortly after the start, AMO was steadied away from the heels of HAR HAR CHARMS which shifted in. Also shortly after the start, WIN-A-LOT was hampered by LUCKY WINNER which was carried out by DR POSSI. O Doleuze (WIN-A-LOT) reported his mount did not handle tonight’s track conditions. G Mossé (FLY HIGH) reported he rode his mount along for some distance after entering the Back Straight and again approaching the Home Turn, however, the horse did not respond to his riding. He said after the 600 Metres FLY HIGH became unbalanced and in his opinion was not handling tonight’s track conditions. He said because of this he did not ride his mount out in the Straight. WIN-A-LOT and FLY HIGH were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of WIN-A-LOT and FLY HIGH after the race did not show any significant findings. B Prebble (SUPER GOAL MASTER) explained his mount failed to muster pace in the early stages, after the 1100 Metres blundered and then making the turn at the 1000 Metres blundered badly. He said after this as he was concerned with the action of SUPER GOAL MASTER, he eased his mount down. SUPER GOAL MASTER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SUPER GOAL MASTER after the race did not show any significant findings. Before being permitted to race again, SUPER GOAL MASTER will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LUCKY WINNER, SUPER GENERAL and HAR HAR CHARMS were sent for sampling.
