TOWKAY FLYER was withdrawn on 30.3.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter EASY WINNER (Apprentice T H So). Before being allowed to race again, TOWKAY FLYER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BEAUTIFUL DREAMER, which was difficult to load, will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test before being allowed to race again. HOME WITH GLORY and EASY WINNER were slow to begin. OUR PEGASUS began awkwardly and then shortly after the start raced in restricted room between EL ZONDA and SECRET OF WINNING. From the outside barrier, GO LEGEND GO was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. After this, GO LEGEND GO hung out and travelled very wide in the middle stages. The racing manners of GO LEGEND GO were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GO LEGEND GO will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. J Lloyd (HAPPEE GIFT) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that passing the 600 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of DIAMOND KNIGHT, causing that horse to be checked and lose its rightful running. J Lloyd was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday, 22 April 2010 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Macau Jockey Club racemeeting to be conducted on Saturday, 17 April 2010. When DIAMOND KNIGHT was checked, it shifted out, resulting in OUR PEGASUS being taken wider. EL ZONDA, which was following DIAMOND KNIGHT, was steadied away from the heels of that horse, got its head on the side and shifted in, resulting in CHINA HERO being crowded for room. After this, EL ZONDA improved to be racing to the inside of DIAMOND KNIGHT. Passing the 500 Metres, EL ZONDA shifted in away from DIAMOND KNIGHT, resulting in CHINA HERO again being crowded for room. A veterinary inspection of OUR PEGASUS after the race did not show any significant findings. OUR PEGASUS, SECRET OF WINNING and EL ZONDA were sent for sampling.
