MY CHANCE was withdrawn on 11.12.18 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (inappetence) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter PLAY TO WIN (K C Leung). Before being allowed to race again, MY CHANCE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FLYING TIGER HERO began only fairly and then was crowded for room between MEGA HEART and PLAY TO WIN which was bumped and taken in by FAIRY TWINS which began very awkwardly and shifted in abruptly. This resulted in FLYING TIGER HERO and FAIRY TWINS losing ground. DEMONS ROCK was crowded for room on jumping between STAR OF JOY and MONEY BOY which shifted in. This resulted in DEMONS ROCK becoming badly unbalanced. DEMONS ROCK and MONEY BOY were then shifted across behind runners in the early stages from wide barriers. MY BEGINNER’S LUCK began awkwardly. After the 600 Metres, STAR OF JOY was left racing wide and without cover. Rounding the Home Turn, MEGA HEART was held up for clear running when very awkwardly placed close to the heels of GENTLE BREEZE. In this incident, PLAY TO WIN raced tight outside MEGA HEART. Approaching and passing the 200 Metres, STAR OF JOY was crowded for room between MONEY BOY and CALIFORNIA ARCHER (S de Sousa) which shifted out. S de Sousa was reprimanded. Near the 150 Metres, PLAY TO WIN shifted out away from the heels of MY BEGINNER’S LUCK which was giving ground. GENTLE BREEZE, TELECOM BROTHERS and CALIFORNIA ARCHER were sent for sampling.
