PLAY TO WIN was withdrawn on 6.11.18 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter MIDNIGHT RATTLER (M Chadwick). Before being allowed to race again, PLAY TO WIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BEAUTY LOYAL began awkwardly and shortly after the start became unbalanced after being bumped by HANDSOME BO BO which was in turn bumped by MY CHANCE which shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. After becoming unbalanced, BEAUTY LOYAL shifted in and made contact with HARRIER JET, resulting in that horse being awkwardly placed outside PRANCE DRAGON. LITTLE BIRD shifted in at the start and bumped MASTER ALBERT. JUMBO HAPPINESS and PRANCE DRAGON bumped at the start. From the outside barrier, SIR REDALOT was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After being steadied in the early stages to obtain cover behind SUPER WISE, JUMBO HAPPINESS was then slow to muster speed despite being ridden along for some distance approaching and passing the 1000 Metres. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, MY CHANCE raced tight outside the heels of HANDSOME BO BO which got its head up when awkwardly placed behind PRANCE DRAGON. Passing the 150 Metres, HARRIER JET raced tight outside MIDNIGHT RATTLER which, when giving ground, shifted out marginally. HARRIER JET was then momentarily crowded for room passing the 100 Metres between MIDNIGHT RATTLER and HANDSOME BO BO which shifted in before being directed out to relieve the tightening to HARRIER JET. Also passing the 150 Metres, JUMBO HAPPINESS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MY CHANCE when being shifted to the inside of that horse to obtain clear running. Over the concluding stages, BEAUTY LOYAL raced tight inside SIR REDALOT. For the majority of the race, MY CHANCE travelled wide and without cover. After the race, M F Poon, the rider of MASTER ALBERT, expressed concern regarding the horse’s action. A veterinary inspection of MASTER ALBERT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, MASTER ALBERT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, it was noted that there was blood at the left nostril of LEAN AMBASSADOR. An endoscopic examination of LEAN AMBASSADOR confirmed that horse to be a bleeder. A veterinary inspection of HANDSOME BO BO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of SUPER WISE immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER WISE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LITTLE BIRD and PRANCE DRAGON were sent for sampling.
