12 LET ME DANCE D Beadman J Moore 5 125 52 --

Steward Report Predict Pace Map
LET ME DANCE was withdrawn on 7.1.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter RIDE ON THE FIRE (D Beadman). Before being allowed to race again, LET ME DANCE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. RIDE ON THE FIRE began awkwardly. BARCELONA TOO was slow to begin. DIAMOND KNIGHT, which was fractious in the barriers, was crowded for room shortly after the start between ALL DELIGHT and HAUGHTY HAUGHTY which shifted out. Shortly after the start, WISER was crowded for room between SUDDEN THUNDER and LUCKY YOUNG ONES which got its head on the side and hung in. After this, LUCKY YOUNG ONES hung in for the majority of the race. HAPPY INDEX also hung in throughout the race. After the 400 Metres, ALL DELIGHT was steadied away from the heels of KING PENDRAGON which shifted in. Near the 350 Metres, LUCKY YOUNG ONES was inconvenienced when crowded for room between SUDDEN THUNDER and HAPPY INDEX which continued to hang in. After the race, B Doyle reported that D DAY SUPER did not stretch out at any stage of today’s race and, in his opinion, felt sore in front. A veterinary inspection of D DAY SUPER after the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, D DAY SUPER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that WISER had bled from both nostrils. The Veterinary Surgeon reported that after returning to the stables after competing in this race, ALL DELIGHT was found to have blood present in both nostrils. An endoscopic examination of that horse confirmed it to be a bleeder. ULTIMATE WINNERS and KING PENDRAGON were sent for sampling.
