SABINA was slow to begin. MEDIC CHAMPION was bumped at the start by INDUSTRIAL LEGEND which shifted in. After this, INDUSTRIAL LEGEND was taken across behind runners from the outside barrier. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, MASTER DRAGON was steadied away from the heels of MEGA CASTLE which shifted in when barely clear. Throughout the race, KUNG HEI FAT CHOI travelled wide and without cover and near the 800 Metres was allowed to improve into a more forward position. INDUSTRIAL LEGEND had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. Near the 250 Metres, MEDIC FORTUNE was checked away from the heels of GOLDEN BOY which, when weakening, shifted out slightly. When being shifted out across the heels of BEST NOODLE to obtain clear running shortly after this, MEDIC FORTUNE struck the heels of BEST NOODLE and blundered. SABINA, which was following, was checked away from the heels of MEDIC FORTUNE as a consequence. For some distance after the 200 Metres, SABINA was awkwardly placed close to the heels of AMAZING VENTURE. After the 100 Metres, DAILY DOUBLE raced in restricted room between INDUSTRIAL LEGEND and MEDIC CHAMPION, both of which shifted slight ground. A veterinary inspection of SABINA and HEALTHY CONTENDER after the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of GOLDEN BOY after the race revealed that the horse had bled from both nostrils. A veterinary inspection of MEDIC FORTUNE after the race revealed that the horse had sustained a cut to the inside of the left hind heel. MEDIC FORTUNE, BEST NOODLE and INDUSTRIAL LEGEND were sent for sampling.
