LUCKY CHOICE and HEY CHEERS began awkwardly. DRAGON BACHELOR was slow to begin. When left racing wide and without cover after the 1400 Metres, DRAGON BACHELOR was allowed to improve into a forward position. Making the turn after the 900 Metres, THE FAST LANE raced in restricted room between RIGHT TIMING and WIN ALONG which shifted out. In this incident, WIN ALONG became unbalanced and lost ground. Near the 800 Metres, RIO WILLIE was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 350 Metres, ACTIVISM was checked when disappointed for running between MOBILE KING and RIO WILLIE. ACTIVISM then had difficulty obtaining clear running until after the 300 Metres. Near the 150 Metres, ACTIVISM was checked when again disappointed for running between RIO WILLIE and MOBILE KING, both of which shifted ground. After this, ACTIVISM was not able to obtain clear running for the remainder of the race and consequently was not able to be tested. From the 200 Metres until over the concluding stages, THE FAST LANE was not able to obtain clear running. Because of this, THE FAST LANE was not able to be properly tested. After the 150 Metres, WIN ALONG was steadied away from the heels of PERFECT MOMENT which was giving ground. In the Straight, MAGNUMOUS got its head on the side and lay out under pressure. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that ACTIVISM had lost its left hind plate and that LUCKY CHOICE had lost its left front plate. <17/6/2013 Additional Veterinary Report>The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that BREEZE OF LUCK was found to be lame in its left hind leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, BREEZE OF LUCK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
