ADMIRABLE was withdrawn on 26.6.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter GOOD METHOD. Before being allowed to race again, ADMIRABLE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DARING HEART was slow to begin. MY BLESSING began awkwardly. BEST EFFORT began only fairly and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of VARA PEARL which shifted out. G-ONE UNION was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, FORMULA GALORE shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of MY BLESSING. Passing the 1600 Metres, DARING HEART became very unbalanced in its action and attempted to buck for some distance until near the 1400 Metres. This resulted in DARING HEART shifting in and crowding FINE WITH ME onto BEST EFFORT approaching the winning post on the first occasion and G-ONE UNION, which was following DARING HEART, being checked away from the heels of that horse passing the winning post on the first occasion. DARING HEART lost ground as a result of its racing manners. A veterinary inspection of DARING HEART immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Trainer D E Ferraris was advised that DARING HEART must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards and be subjected to an official veterinary examination prior to its next race start. Passing the 1300 Metres, G-ONE UNION got its head on the side and shifted out towards DARING HEART, resulting in G-ONE UNION being awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse. For some distance passing the 1200 Metres, FINE WITH ME travelled keenly and got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of VARA PEARL. Approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, BEST EFFORT was awkwardly placed behind FINE WITH ME. At the entrance to the Straight, DARING HEART was shifted out away from the heels of WAH MAY BABY. Near the 250 Metres, WAH MAY BABY was bumped by FINE WITH ME (U Rispoli) which shifted out to obtain clear running. U Rispoli was advised to exercise more care than he did on this occasion when shifting ground. Approaching the 250 Metres, GOAL FOR GOLD was disappointed for running between GOOD METHOD and MY BLESSING which shifted in. GOAL FOR GOLD was then held up for clear running for a short distance before again attempting to improve between MY BLESSING and GOOD METHOD. GOAL FOR GOLD was however disappointed for running between GOOD METHOD and MY BLESSING approaching the 200 Metres due to both horses shifting a minimal amount of ground. GOAL FOR GOAL remained held up for clear running after the 200 Metres. A veterinary inspection of FORMULA GALORE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GO GO WIN and WORKS OF ART were sent for sampling.
