HAPPY PROJECT was crowded for room on jumping between RESOLUTE and SACRED TIMING which shifted out. In this incident, RESOLUTE became unbalanced after making contact with HAPPY PROJECT. HAPPY WINNER shifted out at the start and bumped SMART OF YOUTH which began awkwardly. After this, from a wide barrier, HAPPY WINNER was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From the outside barrier, SHANGHAI MASTER was steadied on jumping and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. After the 1100 Metres, HAPPY PROJECT raced tight outside SACRED TIMING. Then making the turn near the 1050 Metres, HAPPY PROJECT was steadied when crowded for room between SACRED TIMING which shifted out marginally after becoming unbalanced and RESOLUTE which shifted in when racing tight inside CLASSIC POSH. Approaching the 1000 Metres, HAPPY WINNER got its head up when steadied away from the heels of SUMSTREETSUMWHERE which was awkwardly placed outside AFTER ME. Near the 950 Metres, SACRED TIMING was steadied away from the heels of RESOLUTE which shifted in after becoming unbalanced as a result of being brushed by CLASSIC POSH. Making the turn near after the 600 Metres, HAPPY PROJECT lost ground when momentarily crowded for room between AFTER ME and SACRED TIMING which made the turn awkwardly and shifted out. At the entrance to the Straight, SMART OF YOUTH got its head on the side and lay in. Passing the 250 Metres, CLASSIC POSH was steadied when disappointed for running between AFTER ME which shifted in marginally and SMART OF YOUTH which shifted out after initially laying in. Approaching the 200 Metres, SACRED TIMING got its head on the side and lay in towards the heels of FIRE BALL, resulting in SACRED TIMING being awkwardly placed. HAPPY WINNER was held up for clear running from near the 200 Metres until near the 100 Metres. Passing the 200 Metres, H T Mo (LOOK ERAS) dropped his whip. After the 100 Metres, HAPPY WINNER commenced to improve into tight running between RESOLUTE and LOOK ERAS which got its head on the side and shifted in, resulting in HAPPY WINNER being steadied when crowded for room inside LOOK ERAS. RESOLUTE, which was racing to the inside of HAPPY WINNER, became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by that horse. H T Mo was advised that whilst HAPPY WINNER was improving into tight running, nonetheless he must ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground. Throughout the race, SMART OF YOUTH travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of SMART OF YOUTH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CLASSIC POSH, MASTER ALBERT and AFTER ME were sent for sampling.
