On jumping, GOOD FIT lost ground when crowded for room between WILLIE WAY and EXALTATION which was taken out by GENERAL DINO.
From a wide barrier, HAY RUN was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Despite being vigorously ridden for some distance in the early stages, MISTER MONTE failed to muster speed and subsequently travelled wide and without cover throughout the race.
After being ridden along from the outside barrier, KING’S MAN was left racing very wide and without cover and after the 1400 Metres was allowed to improve its position, however, continued to race wide and without cover throughout the race.
Near the 1600 Metres, SHADOW BREAKER got its head up when being steadied to obtain cover.
After the 700 Metres, CROWN AVENUE got its head on the side and lay out towards the heels of SHADOW BREAKER and then was held up behind FOODIE PRINCESS rounding the Home Turn.
Approaching the 100 Metres, the whip of K C Leung (GALA NIGHT) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of J Moreira (FOODIE PRINCESS).
A veterinary inspection of GENERAL DINO and MISTER MONTE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GALA NIGHT and FOODIE PRINCESS were sent for sampling.
