The start was delayed due to AEROFLASH proving difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, AEROFLASH will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
VICTORIOUS SEEKER began awkwardly.
FORTUNE PATROL began only fairly.
AEROFLASH began only fairly and then shortly after the start lost ground as a result of being crowded for room between BRING IT ON which shifted in after being bumped by MERIDIAN TALENT and GOLDEN GENERAL which was taken out by WINNERS BROTHER after those two horses bumped on jumping.
From the outside barriers, MERIDIAN TALENT and GOLDEN KID were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 1600 Metres, DR LUCKY STAR momentarily raced in restricted room between VIRTUS STAR and GOLDEN GENERAL which shifted in.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, GOLDEN GENERAL and WINNERS BROTHER bumped as a result of WINNERS BROTHER shifting out marginally when awkwardly placed close to the heels of CURLING LUXURY.
After being ridden along to obtain a forward position in the early stages, BRING IT ON travelled keenly in the lead for some distance approaching and passing the 1100 Metres.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, MERIDIAN TALENT got its head on the side, shifted out and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of GOLDEN KID.
At the entrance to the Straight, GOLDEN KID was shifted out away from the heels of AEROFLASH which made the Home Turn awkwardly.
Approaching the 200 Metres, MERIDIAN TALENT was held up for clear running and passing the 200 Metres was directed to the outside of GOLDEN GENERAL to obtain a run.
Approaching the 100 Metres, BRING IT ON, which was giving ground, shifted in and brushed the hindquarters of ENJOYABLE SUCCESS.
Near the 75 Metres, VIRTUS STAR momentarily raced in restricted room inside CURLING LUXURY which lay in under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of BRING IT ON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of FORTUNE PATROL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
VICTORIOUS SEEKER and CURLING LUXURY were sent for sampling.
