FLYING QUEST was withdrawn on 5.5.20 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter MISSION TYCOON (Apprentice K H Chan). Before being allowed to race again, FLYING QUEST will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. GREEN LUCK and MISSION TYCOON brushed at the start. GLORIOUS ARTIST was crowded for room on jumping between HAPPY FUN and PRIVATE SECRETARY which shifted out. GLORIOUS ARTIST was then steadied away from the heels of HAPPY FUN a short distance later when that horse was taken in by SOLAR WAI WAI. After this, GLORIOUS ARTIST was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From the outside barrier, ENRICHMENT was also steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, HAPPY DRAGON raced tight inside INSAYSHABLE which shifted in. HAPPY FUN travelled wide and without cover until near the 1000 Metres. After the 800 Metres, ENRICHMENT and DANCES WITH DRAGON raced tight. HAPPY DRAGON and DANCES WITH DRAGON raced tight rounding the Home Turn. Near the 250 Metres, TURIN REDSTAR was shifted out abruptly away from the heels of MISSION TYCOON after being awkwardly placed behind that horse. Apprentice K H Chan (MISSION TYCOON) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that passing the 250 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of GREEN LUCK, resulting in that horse having to be checked and to lose the running to which it was rightfully entitled. Apprentice Chan was suspended from riding in races for the racemeeting to be conducted at Sha Tin on Sunday, 24 May 2020. As such, Apprentice Chan is eligible to resume race riding on Monday, 25 May 2020. In addition, Apprentice Chan was fined $30,000. Approaching the 200 Metres, HAPPY DRAGON was steadied when disappointed for running between HAPPY FUN which was giving ground and DANCES WITH DRAGON which commenced to shift to the inside of SOLAR WAI WAI to obtain clear running. Then passing the 200 Metres, DANCES WITH DRAGON was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SOLAR WAI WAI. Over the concluding stages, GREEN LUCK raced tight inside TURIN REDSTAR and consequently was not able to be properly tested. Throughout the race, SOLAR WAI WAI travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of PRIVATE SECRETARY, HAPPY FUN and HEZTHEWONFORUS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DANCES WITH DRAGON and ENRICHMENT were sent for sampling.
