ALACRITY jumped awkwardly and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. SOLAR WINDS jumped awkwardly and raced keenly in the middle stages. MAJESTIC COLOUR lost its left front plate shortly after the start. From wide barriers, KING’S CAPITAL and FIND ME LOVE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. On the Home Turn, CHIU CHOW SPIRIT became unbalanced when bumped by CAPE BRETON which shifted out to improve. Near the 150 Metres, ALACRITY was shifted to the inside of MASTER HERO to secure clear running. Approaching the 100 Metres, COBHFIELD was shifted to the outside of MAJESTIC COLOUR to continue into clear running. SHINING GEM raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the race, K C Leung reported that from a wide barrier he was obliged to make use of MAJESTIC COLOUR to take up a forward position. He said as a result MAJESTIC COLOUR was left without a finishing effort when placed under pressure in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of MAJESTIC COLOUR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Also after the race, C L Chau reported that from an inside barrier MARADO jumped awkwardly and soon after made contact with BEAUTY ETERNAL. He said he was then obliged to ride his mount along to hold a forward position in the early stages, however, MARADO then ran disappointingly. A veterinary inspection of MARADO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Following the race, SOLAR WINDS was noted to have sustained a small abrasion to the forehead. BEAUTY ETERNAL and SOLAR WINDS were sent for sampling.
